Thank you for responding! Under the section entitled "Designation of Partnership Representation" I have entered the info for the PR, me. Then, it asks "If the PR is an ENTITY (It is NOT...I'm the PR!), name the designated individual for the PR. Since there is none (again, I'm the PR), TT asks for that info, which even if I put my name in there again, the program rejects the input, and fails to unlock for submission. Should I put another member's name in there, so TT sees a difference? Again, Thanks!
In the Partner/Member Information section (under the Business Info tab), did you check the "PR" box for a particular member?
Yes, you need to also check the box The member who has been designated as the partnership representative for this business under your Partner/Member Information in TurboTax Business like @Anonymous_ said. A partnership representative is required because 1 partner has to be selected to "sign"/authorize the filing of the return since a partnership can be made up of many partners with no maximum number.
To unlock your return for submission go into your return under Business Info and Partner/Member Information, select Edit for yourself and Continue forward until you get to the Tell Us More About This Member screen where you can check the box.
Actual found it online...unchecked the "I am the designated PR" n my info sheet. I dropped the requirement to sign a PR rep, and it cleared. Thanks for youe help.
