The program is asking for information on an asset purchased for under $2500 for my self-employed business. It just indicates I should go to the other expense section.

If you took the annual election to expense an asset under $2500, you probably still need to enter that asset yourself as an expense, generally under Other Miscellaneous Expenses. TurboTax does not track or carry them in the Depreciation Report.
