Sole proprietor schedule c

im wanting to file sole  proprietor  schedule c  but  it  keeps  taking me to  a  1099  misc  and asking me to enter a  federal ein how  can i resolve  that

If you received income for your sole proprietorship and it was not reported to you on a 1099-MISC, then instead of clicking on 1099-MISC income on the Business Income screen, click on General Income.

On this screen, you will be able to enter categories of income and the amounts.

If the 1099-MISC is still causing problems, then go back into 1099-MISC Income, and on the first screen where it says 1099-MISC Summary, click on the Delete button to the right of the 1099-MISC you want to delete.
