Small Business Upfront Investment

I started up a small online business and established my LLC.  $25,000 upfront cost to join the online program & business.  Can I deduct some or all of this upfront expense?  Also, where does it ask me on my turbo tax about all the related software & online program fees to claim as business expense.  Thanking you in advance for assistance!

You cannot directly expense this investment.

The upfront cost to join the business must treated as an intangible asset which is amortized over 15 years.

Please read this IRS document for more information.

In TurboTax, you should enter this as an asset and categorize it as Intangible assets.
