No, this should not be a problem. As long as the number of months listed in Box 6 of Schedule EIC is more than 6, the calculation of the Earned Income Credit (EIC) remains the same. So even though your Schedule EIC Box 6 showed 8 months instead of 12, it did not affect the amount of EIC you received on your Tax Return.
