See Car and Truck Expenses Worksheet for this information but IRS Form 4562 Part V also reports vehicle expenses for vehicles that are being depreciated.
View forms and worksheet at Tax Tools / Print Center / Print, save or preview this year's return / Include government and TurboTax worksheets.
for others in the same boat: you need to purchase (not file) the turbotax to get access to the sheets, there they lay out the math. i will take time later this week to follow the math but depreciation went up from last year. last year truck was only in use 11 of 12 months but depreciation is greater than 1 month's worth but i'll follow their math and go from there
