The asset was not sold. So no date to enter. But Turbotax won't file till I enter a date.

Review the asset section again ... you must have checked the box saying an asset was sold by accident so the program is looking for that information.

I attempt to e-file state return it tells me to Fix Illinois Return, then check entry, advising I need to enter SSN. When entered it tells me it cant be directly entered
