LLC Registration State and Taxes

Hi,

1. I am debating between registering my consulting company in Texas vs Alabama? What do you suggest in terms of taxes?

2. Since I will be offering services in different states, Do I owe any taxes to the state where my clients are coming from?

You're going to need ongoing pro advice for this.......each state is different. Some states will tax you if you have clients in their state that you bill and others require registration to do business......it's a mess. Texas has no income tax and only has a franchise tax on LLCs with a really high minimum like there's no tax due unless you make over $1,180,000.
