I want to select a fiscal year that ends January 10th for a C Corporation, is that possible or can a fiscal year only end on the last day of a month?

The Corporation was incorporated in 2020 so this is our first filing.

Fiscal year - 12 consecutive months ending on the last day of any month except December. A 52-53-week tax year is a fiscal tax year that varies from 52 to 53 weeks but does not have to end on the last day of a month.

You're better off using a fiscal year that ends on the last day of the month....which is standard.

NO, the IRS allows any month, but it must land on the last day of that month.
