NYC form asks if I'm doing business inside & outside NYC. What constitutes "business?" If office is in NY but a client from another state pays me, is that "business?"

I'm unclear what is considered "business." My company is in NYC but if a client from another state pays me for a service via my website, is that considered doing business in another state? Or is the qualification just based on where my office is located?

Income earned when you are in NYS is NYS income even if it was sent from a client in another state.
