Is there a way to fix a schedule entry? I typed 2 instead of 1 for qualifying children

Yes, there is a way to manually change the entry if you are using TurboTax CD or the download version.  If that is the case, look for "Forms" in the upper right corner of your page.  When you click on Forms, the left side of your window will show all of your forms and schedules.  Click on the relevant schedule, and make your change.

If you are using the TurboTax Online version, go back to the Personal Info section and under Dependents, click on Edit.  Answer the questions accordingly and your Schedule 8812 will update with the correct information.

• Federal / Deductions & Credits / Your tax breaks / Advance payments, Child and Other Dependent Tax Credits at the screen Tell us about any Advance Child Tax Credit payments.
