Is there a way to enter alternate information for k-1 Section 59 (e) (2) expenditures, box 13, code J? My K1 lists "Qualified Section 174 Labor" but I can't enter text

I also have a line reading "Qualified Section 174 Supplies"

You should see an entry in the dropdown box for "Research and experimental expenditures", so you can select that entry; no need to make a manual entry.

I did eventually figure that out on my own, definitely wasn't easy to chase down. Thank you!
