If a SMLLC converts into an S-Corp in the middle of the year, when should taxes be filed?

My understanding is that a SMLLC must file taxes along with the individual tax return in mid-April, and that a S-Corp must file in mid-March. 

Does the mid-year SMLLC to S Corp conversion require that taxes still be filed in April, or does it change to March?

You would file the S-Corporate return by March 15th, 2018 for the time in 2017 that it operated as an S-corporation.

The SMLLC would file the return for the time it operated as a SMLLC by April 18th, 2018.

Out of curiosity, is there a source for the info provided? If so, I would greatly appreciate it if you could link it. I've been searching for an answer for the past two days and I want to be absolutely sure!
