I used the fed standard deduction on my Fed return. Can I use that amount on my AZ schedule A form because it is higher than the Fed itemized amount?

For your Arizona return, you have the choice of either taking the standard deduction or itemizing your deductions. Choose whichever method is most beneficial to you. 

According to the Arizona Department of Revenue "An individual may claim itemized deductions on an Arizona return even if taking a standard deduction on a federal return".
