I purchased turbotax for home and business. I have a sole proprietorship. Do I need to get the "Self employed" version? My account says I need to fill out a schedule C.

No, you are all set with the Home and Business version of Turbo Tax. You will be able to report your income and expenses in the program and create a Schedule C.
