I purchased TT home & business version of the software, assuming I can file 1065 for my business that is a partnership. The current version of TT doesn't allow form 1065.

Sorry you cant upgrade the personal Home & Business program to the Business program.

You need the Turbo Tax Business Desktop program.  It  is a separate program from Home & Business.  It is not available to do online or on a Mac.  And it will not do your personal 1040 return.  You can have both Turbo Tax Business and a personal version (like Home & Business) installed at the same time.

You will need Turbo Tax Business for Windows.   It is not available to do online or on a Mac.  And it will not do your personal 1040 return.  You can have both Turbo Tax Business and a personal version (like Home & Business) installed at the same time.

The TurboTax Business Edition for filing a Form 1065 for a partnership is a separate stand alone edition.  You cannot upgrade to the Business Edition from one of the Personal editions of TurboTax.

Go to this TurboTax website for the Business Edition.  The Business Edition can only be installed on a Windows based personal computer.  It cannot be used to file a personal tax return, Form 1040 - https://turbotax.intuit.com/small-business-taxes/cd-download/

Home & Business is for personal 1040 returns that need Schedule C for self employment income.   You can enter a K-1 you get from the 1065 Business return into the Home & Business program.   That seems to confuse people.

Yes, there are various business state program available.  There is fee for each state program of $50, which will increase to $55 on March 1.

Click on Online at the top of the desktop program screen.  Click on Download State
