I only have 1099’s this year. No Sched C. Can I use the free edition and file electronically?

You should be able to use the Free edition if only entering Social Security benefits reported on a SSA-1099 and retirement income on a Form 1099-R.  E-filing is available on all the TurboTax editions.  There is no charge to e-file using the online editions, federal or state.
