In TurboTax Online, you cannot directly edit Schedule H as a separate form. To correct or amend Schedule H, you must update your household employee information in the program.
To update Schedule H in TurboTax Online, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to the Federal Taxes tab.
2. Select Other Tax Situations.
3. Scroll down to Additional Tax Payments.
4. Find the section labeled Nanny or Household Employee Tax.
5. Click Start or Update next to it.
6. Answer Yes to "Did You Have a Nanny or Household Employee?" and follow the prompts to enter or correct your information.
Completing this section will generate or update Schedule H based on your entries.
Thanks for the response and I understand your answer. What I don't get is I have to answer yes when I did not have a household employee in 2025.
Also, in Missouri state return, online submission of the return is not allowed if you happen to donate to an organization that allows for state income tax credits. Is this an issue with Turbotax or Missouri Department of Revenue. This is not a new situation, it has been like this for years.
If you don't have a household employee, then you don't need the Schedule H. If so then you can delete it as follows:
1. Choose the Tax Tools option on your left menu bar while working on your return
2. Choose Tools
3. Choose the Delete a form option under Other Helpful links
4. Find the Schedule H in the list and delete it
One reason TurboTax does not allow e-file of the Missouri return if you have one of the miscellaneous credits such as you mention is that the program does not support the schedules necessary to apply for the credit. So, you have to mail them in with your tax return. I don't know specifically why they are not included in the program, but I imagine it has to do with the high number of credits available and the difficulty it would be to include separate routines for all of them in TurboTax. It is also entirely possible that the Missouri Department of Revenue can't process them electronically also due to the high number of schedules available.
