I just purchased TTBusiness for a Form 1041. Can I use it to file a 2015 Form 1041?

My BIL passed away 10/23/15. TTBusiness set his return to fiscal year with due date of 9/30/16 and 9/30/17. I have a 1099-B with sale date of 7/8/16. Can I use the version I just bought for this return which should have been filed by 1/15/2017?

You will need the 2015 version for a 2015 Form 1041. You can find the prior year versions of the TurboTax Business software here https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/ 

The 2016 version only works with current year returns.
