I have to file for a partnership this year to close it down, do I need both premier and business software?

You need TurboTax Business to prepare a 1065 for a partnership.

You also need a TurboTax personal tax preparation product (such as Premier) to prepare your personal income tax return.

Yes, you need TurboTax Business to file a Form 1065, but it cannot file your personal Form 1040.  You can use TurboTax Online or TurboTax Desktop for your personal return.

If you have Home & Business, you also need TurboTax Business for the 1065.
