Can you please clarify your question?

Are you asking how you enter the 1099-NEC you issued to your contractor?

Yes, how do I enter that information and where do I e-file it? I also can't seem to find that document to download so I can fill it out? Thank you in advance.

Do you need to efile the 1099NEC you prepared to the IRS?  Or where to enter it in your personal 1040 Schedule C?

That is Contract Labor on Schedule C line 11.

Yes. I would like to efile the 1099-NEC. Or is it recommended to mail? I'm weary of the mail in case it never arrives.

How did you prepare the 1099NEC?  If you used the Quick Employer Forms it is efiled to the IRS. But you have to print it out to give to the contractor.

The Quick Employer Forms only supports e-filing of the forms with the IRS and Social Security Administration. Copy A of the Form 1099 and W-2 are only used for e-filing and are not provided for printing.

If you don't use QEF and print to mail, For each Form W2/1099 you should have the following copies:

Copy A for the Internal Revenue Service (two different people per page):

Copies B, C, and 1:

…….(Copy B for the recipient);

…….(Copy C for your records); and on the same page

…….(Copy 1 for the state tax department if required)

Hmm. I don't have any software for this. I have 1 employee and was under the impression that I can get the 1099-NEC online, save as a pdf, make edits, and then efile. Is this not the case? I've never done this before.
