If you are the "sole proprietor" of that small business (likely the case), then you would report your business income and expenses on Schedule C, which is part of the 1040 package. If, however, your business is actually a partnership or a corporation, then you will have to use a TurboTax Business product. Yes, it's a little confusing, but if you own your own business, then using TurboTax Self Employed is the right thing to do.
In the Home & Business (now "Self-Employed") version of TurboTax, you will see two tabs (among others) near the top: Business and Personal. When you click on Personal, you will see most of the same options as you have always seen, such as itemized deductions, other income, and the like.
When you click on Business, you will start an interview that will ask you about your business income and expenses.
When you are finished with both, then TurboTax will collect all the forms together and e-file them for you.
