Midnight your local time 09/15/2020 to e-file. Or mail the return and the postmark on the envelope is on or before midnight 09/15/2020.
So I’ll be able to efile as long as it’s by midnight Eastern standard time is my time zone tomorrow and not be late? Had a loss anyway was going through a divorce and was too depressed to work. So it’s mostly expenses to keep the business running
Yes, if you e-file before midnight tomorrow you will not be late.
Waiting until the last minute is never the best plan. Even though you have until midnight on the 15th, you could have some sort of glitch or problem when you try to e-file if you wait til just before midnight. If the return is ready, you can print and mail it and get it postmarked by the 15th.
File the return at least 1 hour before the deadline even if the return is incomplete to avoid late filing penalties which are steep ... you can always amend the return right away.
