I don't have a K-1 S Corp to file but it won't let me file my taxes as it says it is waiting on the K-1 S Corp form to be updated by the IRS. How do I by-pass this?

You may have a K-1 in your files carried over from a previous year or for some other reason. You can follow these steps to delete the form:

  1. Click on Tax Tools in the left menu bar
  2. Click on Tools
  3. Look under Other Helpful Links and choose Delete a form
**Say "Thanks" by clicking the thumb icon in a post
**Mark the post that answers your question by clicking on "Mark as Best Answer"

If that doesn't work to delete it, try deleting it this way. Go to the K-1 interview section here
Federal on the left
Wages and Income
Then scroll way down to Business Items (or S-Corps, Partnerships, Trusts)
Schedule K-1 - Click the Start or Revisit button

If the first screen says "Do you want to review Schedule K-1?". You have to answer yes and then click Update by the Schedule K-1 type (LLC, S corp, trust). The next screen is the Summary screen listing all of the K-1 entered for that type of entity. You can review, edit or delete it there.
