I didn't have self employment business income last year do I still have to put it in my returns?
No - you will not have to include any information related to your self-employment business on your income tax return this year if you had no self-employment income. However, you will not be able to claim any self-employment business expenses for the calendar tax year unless you include a Schedule C (where you report self-employment income and expenses) with your income tax return.
Please refer to this IRS link for more information about Business Expenses
To enter Business income and expense information in TurboTax, log into your tax return (for TurboTax Online sign-in, click Here and click on "Take me to my return") type "Schedule c" in the search bar then select "jump to Schedule c". TurboTax will guide you in entering this information.
