Unemployment compensation received in 2018 cannot be entered on a 2019 tax return.
Amend your 2018 tax return to add the unemployment - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/amending/help/how-do-i-amend-a-return-in-turbotax/01/27579
To clarify, I received unemployment insurance income in 2018, and NO unemployment insurance in 2019.
I included that 1099-G income in my 2018, so this question is not about 2018.
Right now, when trying to complete the 2019 return, I answer "NO" when asked if I received unemployment insurance income, because I did NOT receive any of that 1099-G income.
However, the tax program does not acknowledge my "NO" input, so it rolls over to "Not Started", over and over.
Do I just ignore the fact that the program is ignoring my response of "NO" 1099-G income in 2019?
Thank you.
Ignore the Not Started.
At the end of completing your tax return if the program whats you to enter unemployment then there is probably a Form 1099-G in your forms list that needs to be deleted.
Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Click on Tools. Click on Delete a form
