how to mark 1291 Tax and 1291 interest from 8621 form on turbo tax online?

i am using turbo tax online (can't use desktop since OS is not compatible). Once I get the 1291 tax and 1291 interest numbers from form 8621, how am i supposed to enter those in turbo tax online? should i print my 1040 and manually write the numbers on 12a and line 8 of schedule 2? since my complete form will be printed and only 2 lines will be hand written, does it cause any issues?

Unfortunately, TurboTax doesn't directly support Form 8621. 

You will need to get the Desktop version of TurboTax to file this return.

• You must manually calculate the numbers, 
• Enter them into the desktop version's 
• Forms mode (or via overrides), and 
• Print/mail your return with the 8621 attached.

unfortunately, i can't use desktop version since my OS doesn't support it. Can i print the form from the online version and then type in the numbers using a pdf editor? or write it manually myself and then mail the final return?

I wouldn't recommend posting to a PDF.

• I'm not sure what the flow through calculations would be.
• It may be worth consulting a local tax preparer with foreign income experience.
• It may be easier and safer than buying a new computer!
