TurboTax transfers data from your federal return to your state return. Before you begin troubleshooting your state return, go back through your federal return and make sure everything is correct.
After you review your federal return, select the State Taxes tab and review the state section. Pay close attention to the information, especially if you have made changes to your federal return. There might be new sections that need to be completed.
If your problem continues, you can try the following:
Go out of your program and go back in.
Clear your cache and cookies.
Try a different Web Browser.
If you are using TurboTax Desktop make sure all updates have been run on your program. You can do this by clicking on "Online" in the black bar across the top of your TurboTax screen. And then select "Check for Updates".
If you have any additional questions or information regarding this please return to TurboTax Community and we would be glad to help.
I have already tried clearing my browser cache and history. I have tried deleting my state tax return and starting over. I have checked my federal return several times and it is correct. The error in turbo tax is on form 511 of my Oklahoma state tax return. Turbo tax is not correctly picking up my state taxes from schedule A of my federal return when it is trying to determine my itemized deductions for my Oklahoma state return
I am using TurboTax on-line. The issue is with the amount on line 2 of Oklahoma Schedule 511-D. The amount is not properly being calculated from Lines 5a to 5e on my Federal Schedule A for Itemized Deductions. I have shared a copy of my tax return. The token number is 1331625.
I just tried deleting my State income tax return and re-creating it in a different browser and the state is still incorrect. I have tried both Microsoft Edge and FireFox
Thank you for reporting your experience. We are currently investigating the issue and will provide updates as soon as possible.
