How do I get Turbotax to let me claim the commercial clean vehicle credit? The check boxes on the Schedule A (Form 8936) are not selected for Part I steps 6 or 7.

When you entered the vehicle in your business, there are a few things to watch.

Edit your business  then Edit the vehicle

• Check the business percentage is greater than 0, otherwise, it isn't a business use vehicle -not eligible.
• Be sure to fill in the incremental cost - the excess over the purchase price of a comparable gas vehicle
• Purchase date by September 30, 2025 - binding contract if you didn't have the car
• If you transferred the credit to the dealer, check the box electing to transfer

Thank you for the response.  I also noticed that I made an error when filling out the info for the vehicle. TurboTax asked if the vehicle was owned, leased, or a 3rd option. I stopped at owned as my business purchased the vehicle. I went back and checked everything again and the 3rd option was Qualified commercial vehicle.  Once I checked that and answered the follow-on questions, my return showed the appropriate checks on the forms. I refilled and my return was accepted this time.
