How do I cancel the Form D on which I, erroneously, declared a gain?
I listed a rental sale on Form D; then realized it was already recorded under Rentals. I can't correct the error.

You don't cancel the Schedule D since you will still need it for capital gains or losses on the rental property. You just delete the duplicate entry. Enter Investment Income in the search window, click on Jump To. Go back through the same screens again and delete what you entered. Don't enter zeroes, delete it.
