Is this "authority" for a mortgage loan application, student loan application, etc.?
The main title at the top of the Schedule 1 page is Additional Income and Adjustments to Income and the upper left corner of the page says Schedule 1.
Schedule 1 is a common form that many filers will have, but not everyone will need one, depending on the complexity of the return. It's used to report several types of income as well as "adjustments to income." On your Form 1040, if there are figures on the Form 1040, Line 8 and/or the Form 1040, Line 10, those figures flowed from a Schedule 1.
What specifically about a Schedule 1 is the authority asking for? Is there a particular type of income or adjustment they want to see?
