Was the "Final return" box checked on your 1065?
If so, you can file an amended 1065 with the box unchecked and a brief explanatory statement that the "Final box" was inadvertently checked (on the 1065 and the K-1s).
[Frankly, there are those who have filed 1065s with the "final" box checked, but have never been questioned]

One of the partners is completing her taxes at this time and her accountant needs this amended. When looking at the 1065x, I was able to give a brief explaination.
Now to send it in as an amended file, do I need to resend all the original 1065 or just the 1065x plus the new K-1 for each partner?
I would resend with the amended box checked.
One more question...
Q: Do I also need to resend my State taxes being that they were no effected?
There would be no need to amend your state return if there are no changes.
