Elected official home office

My wife has been the local rural township treasurer since 1994.  Her primary place of work is our dedicated home office which has its own outside entrance to it.  She works almost everyday in some form or another, either on the phone or receiving taxpayers.  The township is small and does not have any offices.  She receives a W2 and has been classified as a statutory employee so taxes can be deducted from her monthly check.  I've been using the home office every year since 1994 as a Schedule C home office deduction.   

This year (2020 for the 2019 taxes) will not allow home office deduction for statutory employee.

Should I just ignore the error from the Turbo Tax programming?

Did you link the W-2 to the Sch C ?

When I linking the W2 to the schedule C, it causes an error.  

When I un-link the W2 to the schedule C, it  causes an error.

I ended up manually un-linking the W2, then allowing the program to enter the W2 income amount in the space labeled as income from statutory employee.

It still gives an error code but it is the only way I could see to put the information on the form.

UPDATE:

I cant e-file if Turbo Tax has any errors.. 😕

I see you are using the downloaded version ( aside from the fact that the Deluxe would serve you just as well for less cost ... hint for the future )  so switch to the FORMS mode ... look for any red ! marks on the left side ... click on the form with the error mark ... check out the red/pink box that needs fixing ... you may be able to correct it there.   One issue that comes to mind is if the W-2 is attached to the spouse and the Sch C to the taxpayer ... get them in line and the error may go away.
