During the review, its asking me for the EIN for a 1099-NEC that needs to be deleted. However, when I go to the self employed section, I can't find it. What should Ido?

My wife has a 1099-NEC what is correct.  It's asking me to correct one for me, but I don't have one for me.

Try using the following steps to delete any unused Form 1099-NEC that you see:

• On the top row of the TurboTax online screen, click on Search (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax locate the search box in the upper right corner)
• This opens a box where you can type in “1099-NEC” and click the magnifying glass (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax, click Find)
• The search results will give you an option to “Jump to 1099-NEC”
• Click on the blue “Jump to 1099-NEC” link

This will bring you to the summary of all Form 1099-NEC that are in your return.  Click Delete or the trash can icon next to each one that you want to remove.

After doing the search, I do not see the option to "Jump to 1099-NEC".  However, I've navigated back to it during the normal Q/A for Federal.  I still just see my wife's 1099-NEC and none for me.  I think it's a glitch in the software, since its showing one for me during review that I need to correct but there is no way for me to delete it from the regular 1099 area.  Can use manual log in and the delete it?  Even if you delete all of them, I could just re input my wife's.  Thanks

You can try to delete a form and then re-enter your 1099-NEC through the Schedule C screen. Make sure that you see the screen that asks who the 1099 belongs to. If you are not offered the selection make sure both you and your wife are listed in Personal Info.

Here's the general procedure for viewing the forms list and deleting unwanted forms, schedules, and worksheets in TurboTax Online:

1. Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
2. In the left menu, select Tax Tools and then Tools.
3. In the pop-up window Tool Center, choose Delete a form.
4. Select Delete next to the form/schedule/worksheet in the list and follow the instructions.
