Does federal get direct deposited in two installments?

I received roughly half of my refund today, meaning I did not get about $5,000 from my total refund. When the Federal government direct deposit do they do it in two transactions?

Your tax refund comes in one lump sum. If you have outstanding child support, school loans, etc.. they will have it taken from your tax refund. Call IRS and ask them where the rest of your refund is and they will let you know.
