My son made $1000 officiating soccer. Since he was under 16 we had to drive him to each game. We would like to claim mileage expenses. Is there anyway to do that either under our tax return or his?

No, there is no valid method available to claim mileage for driving your son to his soccer matches.
The only possible place that mileage expenses could be claimed would be on his tax return. But, in order to claim a standard mileage expense, he must be the owner of the vehicle that was driven.
No. The costs of commuting to and from work are not deductible----not for your child and not for you as the parents driving him to and from his job. Sorry.
