Checked entry for k1 no. 16 foreign transactions had d & e. created 2nd k1 for only e and filled in part a . problem not solved. what should I do to fix the problem?

To get rid of an error, you most likely need to update the foreign income section, if you haven't already.  You only need to divide out your schedule k-1 entry, if you have more than one amount in box 1, 2 and 3. 

You should have a statement attached to your schedule K-1 that explains which activity (box 1, 2 or 3; if more than one) your box 16 income is related too. 

To do so, from within your return, in the top right search box enter Foreign earned income and select the first "Jump too..." link that results. Then you'll be able to answer the questions to resolve the problem.
