why do you think it should not be reported on form 8960? you can use some other line or code or override form 8960 (any override will prevent e-filing) the Turbotax accuracy guarantee would be void. the IRS might catch the misreporting and then you would be subject to taxes, penalties, and interest.
@Mike9241 Thanks for the reply. Yes, I need to report on form 8960. The question should be "how to enter the adjustment into line 4b of form 8960?" I'm using the online TT and can't find a way to do so.
