Business use of personal vehilce for S-Corp

I use my personal vehicle 53% of the time in my S-Corp business.  I maintain a mileage log and also set up an Accountable Plan Agreement to reimburse me for these personally paid but business related expenses for my S-Corp. How/Where do I itemize these personal vehicle related business expenses in the Turbo Tax Business Program?

NOTE: Prior to the 2019 tax year I would deduct these expenses through my 1040 return.

Create a deduction that is descriptive and makes sense to you.  Follow these steps.

  • Under the Federal taxes tab, click on Deductions.
  • At the screen Your deductions, under Business expenses, click Start/Update to the right of All other expenses.
  • At the screen All other expenses, create a deduction titled Automobile expenses - mileage.
