Yes, you can use your SSN instead of the EIN on the Schedule C for self-employment.
Actually the Sch C will have both numbers on it ... if you get a 1099 with the EIN on it the IRS will automatically marry it to your SS# since you used your SS# to get the EIN. When you complete the business info section enter in the EIN when allowed.
