My standard deduction is $24,000. However, on my form 1040, I'm showing line 8 (deductions) at $26,600. Why didn't TurboTax provide me and the IRS with a Schedule A?

Missing Schedule A?

If both you and your spouse are age 65 or older then you each receive an additional $1,300 for your standard deduction.  So the deduction would be $26,600.

Thank you!  The form 1040 says $24,000 - and its nice to find out we seniors are different!

$26,600 is the Standard Deduction for MFJ when both are age 65+.

Thank You!  On Form 1040, it says $24,000 - so I thought that was us.  We seniors are different, which in this case is good.

Form 1040 also says:
"If you checked any box under Standard deduction, see instructions"

But when you use TurboTax, you do not check any box under standard deduction. The software does that that for you.
