Hello
I received an email notification from Turbotax on 10/23/2025 that the 2025 TurboTax Business would be supported on Windows 10 as an exception only for 2025. However, when I go to purchase the 2025 TurboTax Business (For S Coup) on Amazon or Costo or any other retailer even TurboTax website, I see that the requirement for installation is Windows 11. So where can I purchase the 2025 TurboTax Business edition that is compatible with Windows 10?
Thank You in advance!

Go ahead and buy it. There is only 1 Business program. They updated the requirements after printing the requirements in Oct. The download wasn't available until November. You have to download the program so it should install on Windows 10.
I don't think the requirements for Business have been updated to say Win 10. Even Turbo Tax says Win 11 for all Desktop programs. But I know I've seen it posted that Business can run on Windows 10.
Here is Business directly from TurboTax.

Thank You both for your response. Like I mentioned in my original message, I had received this notification about the 2025 TurboTax Business being supported on Windows 10. However the product requirements at the retailers and even TurboTax website has a windows 11 requirement. Can I go ahead and purchase from a retailer like Amazon or Costco and assume that it will work on Windows 10 despite the requirements stating windows 11? Or is TurboTax going to release a separate SKU for Windows 10 and I should wait for them to release a new product for Windows 10? These are non refundable at the retailers and want to make sure it will work on my windows 10 machine before purchasing.
Thank You!

I bought TT Business 2025 and tried to install in January. The program said it would not work on Windows 10. I had to install it on my other computer which has Windows 11. Unfortunately that complicates importing my return from 2024.
W11 is required for any of Turbotax's 2025 apps, including desktop individual. Copy the 2024 file (not the PDF so you still have a copy on the W10 computer) to a thumb drive or maybe even email it to yourself (this won't work if the file is too large). On the W11 computer download from e-mail or if you used a thumb drive copy or cut and paste it to your W11 desktop. Just makes it easier to find. When you start the 2025 you may have to browse to the desktop for the app to see the 2024 file. There may be other methods available to transfer the file, but this depends on your specific setup and what you are able to do.
@KC Kirk You should be able to install TT Business on Windows 10. Maybe your computer needed to install some Windows Updates. Or could you have bought Home & Business instead?
When you copy the .tax2024 file be sure to get the right one. Both the personal versions and the Business program use the same file extension as .tax2024.
For Windows…..What I would do on the old computer, is copy the whole Turbo Tax folder that is under your Documents. That should be where the .tax files and pdf files are stored. Also if you haven't done it, I would open each year in the program and save it as a pdf file, go to FILE - SAVE TO PDF so you don't need the program installed to view your return. Copy that folder to a flash drive or best yet is to burn it to a CD or DVD and then you will have a backup of them. Then on the new computer copy the folder (or files) from the flash drive to your Documents folder.
