2019 1040 QBI not calculating from S Corporation K1. Entered Box 17 value even though the Box 17 has STMT which was generated by TurboTax Business

Form 8995 is only available on a personal return and not a business return.

Thanks.  I get that the 8995 is only available on Personal Tax Forms and not on S Corp Forms.  My question was is it normal that we see *STMT on the S Corp K1 Box 17 or should we see V, Z, W with amounts as we did last year ?   Best Regards.

It can be either. I have seen K1's where i had to look at the *STMT  to record the information to place in the return. Other times, i have seen line 17 neatly filled in with the amounts to report. Other times, i have seen line 17 with a code, but the amount was left blank. I had to look at the  *STMT to get the amounts. I guess it depends on the issuer of the K1 and the amount of extra work they are willing to take in preparing the K1.
