Hi,
I'll be filing taxes jointly with my wife at the end of 2024. I don't think I will be making more than the standard deduction this year. I just started a position on a 1099 in July. Do I have do my quarterly filing in September if I don't expect to pay more than $1000 in Fed taxes for 2024?
When I do file my taxes with Turbotax next year, will Turbotax be able to make my Soc Sec and Medicare payments then, for whatever I earn - possibly under the standard deduction?

If you have self-employment income for which you will pay self-employment tax for Social Security and Medicare, you will need to use online Premium software or any version of the CD/download so that you can prepare a Schedule C for your business expenses.
