Schedule 1 - Lines 10-19 and 22 show zero dollars total. Yet Social Security Benefits Worksheet shows $300 on Line 6 and says it comes from the Schedule 1 lines listed!

Where is the $300 coming from if not the Schedule 1 lines?  Is this a bug?

the calculation could be correct. the wording hasn't been updated to reflect what the law says

line 6 as worded omits plus the amount on line 10b - the charitable contribution deduction for nonitemizers. if your return reflects $300 on line 10b the calculation for taxable social security is correct.

here's a link to a properly worded Soc  Sec worksheet
