Question

Is it possible to change the business income for Indiana schedule C? I moved this year and need to allocate income but the box is grayed out.

This is in regard to the page titled "Other Income Taxed by Indiana"

The web version has imported the federal business income number to my Indiana Business Income but I only need to record the portion that was earned after the move.  The page tells me to enter a number but it is grayed out and will not let me change it.

I have spoken to the help available over the phone and they were unable to help me and recommended I upgrade to live which seems silly to change one number.

Please clarity your question. Are you saying the Indiana box is greyed out? You cannot change the Federal amount but TurboTax will allow you to enter a number for Indiana.

Hello and thank you for your response.

Yes, the Indiana box contains an amount and is grayed out.

The screenshot matches the screen I am looking at.  In my case, the federal number on the left accurately displays my federal income and the number in the box on the right (where you have filled in the red question marks) is pre-filled with the same number as the my federal income and cannot be changed.   I would be happy to share a screenshot of the situation with you if there is a way to send a direct message.

Thank you again for your assistance.

That's strange. When I enter a number in the Indiana box it is greyed out but I am able to go back in and change it.

You can try deleting your return. TurboTax will do a fresh transfer from your federal return.
