I'm having trouble with were I place the expense of my goods for my business. I do not have an inventory. When a customer orders, I then procure it at wholesale.

Either enter it under Supplies or as Other Misc Exp.

Go to Business tab- then Continue
Business Income and Expenses - Click the Start or Update button

Then click EDIT by the business name and the next screen should be a list of  topics,
Business Profile, Income, Inventory/Cost of Goods Sold, Expenses, Assets, and Final Details last.

Under Business Expenses, Click Start or Update by Other common business expenses.  You should see the list of expenses and amounts you entered.
Then click the start or update button by the expense you want to add or edit.

Supplies is the 13th item under Expenses - Click the Start or Update button

Do you do anything to it before you sell it to the customer?  For example, do you buy materials and then make something?

We order it and then assemble it at the customers home.  No alterations to the product.
