I have an interior design business, turbotax is suggesting this is contract work, is this correct?

Typically in this field, we work with different clients. A project begins, and then ends. Does this mean it is contract work? I know it's not freelance work.

Yes, you can select 'contract work' which will not affect your income and expense deductions for your interior design business. It's simply a description of self employment work.
