But before you delete anything, WHY do you want to remove the depreciation?

If the "asset" was sold or disposed of this year, you need to "edit" the asset to indicate what happened to it.  If it was sold or disposed of in a previous year, you need to report the sale or disposition of that asset in that year.

Yes, you can remove the depreciation for your Schedule C by removing the assets that are being depreciated.

To do this, please follow these steps:

  1. In your return click on Income and Expenses and then click the Start/Revisit box in the Self-Employment section.
  2. On the Your 2018 self-employed work summary screen, click on Edit next to your business.
  3. You will be on the  Here's your [business] info screen.
  4. In the Expenses section, click the Edit box next to Assets.
  5. On the screen,  Do you want to go directly to your asset summary?  mark the Yes button and click Continue.
  6. On the Business Asset Summary screen, you can delete assets that you have entered by clicking on the "trash can" icon next to that asset.
