At this point, you won't be able to e-file your 2017 return. Prior-years' returns must be prepared using TurboTax Desktop software (CD/Download), signed, printed and mailed. Since you began your 2017 return in TurboTax Online, you can use the .tax data file your created to prepare your return. The instructions below will explain how to proceed. NOTE: Since you paid for your 2017 online return, you won't be required to purchase the Desktop program. However, you WILL need to contact TurboTax Customer Support during business hours to request a free download of the software. I'm adding the info below to assist you in contacting Support.
